What makes art good? What makes art, art? You'd have to admit that Mona Lisa Smile (film) had a great point with this. Art is subjective, because beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
So how do you explain how art is art or why you like what you 'see' as art? Who knows?
I have learned from my short experience on dA that art is in the eye of the beholder too. My tastes in art have grown tremendously so. Even in literature.
I adore every kind of art. I have learned to appreciate all types, big and small, whether they be in line with my personal beliefs/morals or not. Like music, which is art; I like everything. So many different types to appreciate, from the naked body to the sun in the sky, to the depictions of all and in between by lead or paint. I encourage all of you to look deeper at God's work. For he is the greatest artist of all.
I mean no offense, God believes in his children whether you believe yet or not. I find that most people have some kind of belief system, so whether it is my God or not, I hope you look deeper and see. Really see and learn to appreciate all types.. not just art but people, beliefs and things too. There is knowledge everywhere. Beauty everywhere. Beauty in all God's work. Allure, elegance and grace in everything around you.
